Fribourg

Fribourg is the capital city of the canton with the same name. It sits on the border between the German speaking part of Switzerland and the French speaking part, and the Canton uses both as its official languages.

The Canton holds an annual festival in the summer that involves local wineries opening up their vineyards along a 4 k trail. Local restauranteurs and cheese makers set up booths along the way, so it's essentially a giant walk filled with wine, food, and cheese. I am thinking that I need to go check it out.

We took a day trip there a month or so ago and enjoyed the old medieval makeup of the city itself. The architecture alone made it worth just wandering around.
