Last night at Longboat

Longboat Key

I love this place. My parents have come every year since I was about four years old. Even though I have been here more times than I can count I always enjoy coming back. It's nowhere near as crowded as Siesta Key to the south which makes it the perfect place to just relax.

This year there is a fair amount of seaweed on the beach, which is uncommon. Longboat is known for its stretches of white sand beaches and the clear water of the Gulf. Of all the beaches I have been to, this is my favorite.

What I have been up to

I've been pretty busy since I've been back in the States. Between weddings, moving, finding a job, and getting ready for school I haven't had much spare time (or access to the internet, but that is a different story).

My sister and I drove to DC to meet our new niece. I will refrain from posting a picture of her sweet little face here so as to keep it from ending up all over the internet. While in DC I also got to meet this guy:

I realize that I look incredibly puffy, but I couldn't resist posting the picture. Many thanks to my amazing sister in law for setting this up.
